1.1 Information you provide directly

Depending on which Services you engage, you may provide:

• •Contact information — name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address
• •Business information — entity type, formation state, business activities, ownership/officer details needed for formation, EIN, or non-profit (Form 1023) filings
• •Identity and filing information — information needed to prepare and coordinate government or intellectual-property filings (which may include, depending on the filing, Social Security number or ITIN, government-issued ID, or other identifiers required by the relevant office or by our payment processor for identity verification)
• •Financial and payment information — processed by our third-party payment processor (see Section 3); for bookkeeping/CRM setup services, this may include information you choose to connect from your business bank or accounting accounts
• •Content you submit — logos, brand materials, website content, documents, and other materials you provide for us to use in delivering a Service
• •Communications — messages, emails, and call/meeting notes exchanged with our team or Partners

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• •IP address, browser type, device information, and operating system
• •Pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and approximate session duration
• •Information collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

1.3 Information from third parties

• •From our payment processor, confirming that a payment was authorized and completed (we do not store full card numbers)
• •From Partners, updates on the status of work performed on your behalf
• •From government offices or platforms (e.g., USPTO, a Secretary of State, IRS, app stores), confirmations related to a filing or submission made on your behalf
• •From social media, advertising, or analytics platforms you choose to connect for a Service (e.g., ad account access for Paid Ads Management)

• •To deliver the Services you've purchased, including preparing and submitting filings, building deliverables, and coordinating Partners
• •To process payments and manage billing
• •To communicate with you about your engagement, including service updates, deadlines (e.g., an Office Action response window), and billing
• •To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory recordkeeping obligations
• •To maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our internal operations
• •To send marketing communications about Ipello's services, which you may opt out of at any time (see Section 6)
• •To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other misuse

Ipello does not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• •Partners — licensed attorneys, patent/trademark agents, CPAs, and other professionals engaged to perform regulated work on your behalf, as described in our Terms of Service.
• •Government and IP offices — where a Service requires a filing (e.g., USPTO, a state Secretary of State, IRS, or a foreign IP office such as EUIPO, UKIPO, CIPO, ARIPO, IP Australia, the New Zealand IP office, or CNIPA), the information required for that filing is submitted to that office directly or through the qualified Partner handling it.
• •Service providers — payment processing, hosting, email delivery, CRM, analytics, and similar vendors who process information on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
• •Legal and safety reasons — where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ipello, our clients, or others.
• •Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Because certain intellectual-property filings require engaging Partners qualified to act before foreign offices, information relevant to that filing may be transferred to and processed in the country where that office or Partner is located (for example, in connection with a trademark application before the EUIPO, UKIPO, CIPO, ARIPO, IP Australia, the New Zealand IP office, or CNIPA).

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and, where applicable, support advertising. Our live-chat widget sets its own cookies when loaded so it can maintain a conversation. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect Site functionality. The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by contacting us at the email address in Section 13. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of service-related communications necessary to deliver a Service you’ve purchased.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to deliver the Services, comply with legal and tax recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

• •Client and engagement records are generally retained for the duration of the engagement plus a period afterward to support billing-dispute resolution and legal compliance.
• •Records related to tax, filing, or regulatory matters are retained for the period required by the applicable government office or tax authority.

8.1 General rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 13; we will verify your identity before responding.

8.2 California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), gives you the right to:

• •Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed
• •Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information we must retain for legal or tax compliance)
• •Correct inaccurate personal information
• •Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — Ipello does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense regulated by the CCPA
• •Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

8.3 Other U.S. state privacy laws

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and a growing number of others — may have similar but not identical rights. If such a law applies to you, contact us using the information in Section 13 to exercise your rights, and we will honor them as required by that law.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including restricted access, encrypted transmission for payment data (handled by our payment processor), and vendor confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site and Services are directed to businesses and adults, not to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the information below and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Site and our communications may contain links to third-party websites or platforms (including Partner websites, government filing portals, and social/advertising platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; this Policy applies only to information collected by Ipello.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site or Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
